How do I set up 2-Factor Authentication?

You can set up 2-Factor Authentication two ways.

  • You will need to enter your mobile phone number, and an SMS text message will be sent to you.
  • The second way is to utilize a third-party authentication app such as Google Authenticator or Authy. You will need to download the application of your choosing and access the corresponding QR code in the "Settings" section of your OneGold account. Once you scan the QR code into your authentication app, you will be set up with 2-Factor Authentication going forward.

Why should I verify my account?

For security reasons, your identity must be verified in order to prevent fraud and keep your account safe. It also adds an extra layer of security by ensuring no one but you has access to your payment information, such as your bank account or credit/debit card.

How do I upload my verification documents?

Once you have logged into your OneGold account, access the "Settings" section under your account name. Click "Verification" in the left-hand navigation, enter your details, and click "Continue". The next page will feature a drop-down menu to select the type of document you wish to upload. Once you have made your selection, click the "Browse" button on the right to access your computer's files and choose a document to upload. Once you have chosen your document, you will be able to click the "Submit for Verification" button and finish the document upload process.

What forms of identification are required to verify my account?

A government-issued photo identification, such as a passport or a driver's license, is required to verify your identity. In certain cases, one or both forms may be required. OneGold accounts are verified in accordance with our internal anti-money laundering policy.

Why did I receive an unusual activity/device confirmation email?

If you were not expecting to receive an unusual activity/device confirmation email, this means that someone else may have tried to obtain your password and 2-factor codes. We suggest changing your password and checking your IP activity. You can view your account activity by logging into your OneGold account, clicking the "Settings" link and selecting the "Security" link at the side of the page.

How Does "Refer a Friend" Work?

To Refer a Friend:

  • Start by logging into your account, visiting the "Settings" page and clicking on "Refer a Friend". From here, you can send an invite email to a friend.
  • Your friends can then click the link in the email and sign up for a OneGold account.
  • Once they complete their account signup, they can begin buying metals, setting up their AutoInvest preferences, and taking full advantage of all OneGold has to offer. Your friend needs to place a buy order for at least £1,000.00 in order to receive the £20 referral credit.
  • If your friend initiates a buy of £1,000, you will also receive a £20 credit in your OneGold cash balance for the referral bonus. Orders can take up to 4 business days to complete and the referral credits will be posted to your account after the order is marked complete.
